My boss asked me earlier this summer to make a logo for the Delta's new Environmental Committee, since I'd already entered the contest to design something for the Health and Wellness committee.
They wanted something simple, preferably with a catch-phrase...
But none of them can draw!
Corey had suggested to use "Keep it Green", but couldn't follow through with his idea since - as he so eloquently put it - he can't draw worth crap.
I had a lot of fun with this.
It was easy enough, since I already had all the pieces they wanted (hotel name, committee name, and tag line) and free reign to do whatever I chose.
I got a delicious free lunch out of the deal too!
We all ended up happy: I got lunch with Kathleen as well as practice working with type again, and the committee got it's logo without having to pay through the nose (and it's from a hotel worker, which they thought was also pretty cool)
